What We Are Building

Tattoo Machine Index is a public database of tattoo machine specs, seller records, reported issue notes, and exact-model creator video evidence. The goal is simple: make it easier to check what is known about a machine before comparing or buying it.

This is not a lab-test archive. Unless a page is clearly marked hands-on tested, it is a data profile built from public sources and ongoing corrections.

The Data We Maintain

Records are organized around what a buyer or researcher needs to check: the machine, where the information came from, what public issue reports exist, and whether there are useful exact-model videos.

Machine profiles

Each machine page starts with public specs: stroke, power format, weight, price range, seller availability, and source notes when we can verify them.

Brands and sellers

We track manufacturer pages, official stores, resellers, and marketplace listings so readers can see where a machine appears and what the public listing says.

Reported issues

Issue pages summarize public reports such as battery, motor, charging, warranty, or ergonomics complaints. They are research notes, not defect-rate claims.

Creator video evidence

We attach creator videos when the exact machine match is clear. General demos and adjacent models can be useful, but they stay separate from exact evidence.

How Records Change

The database changes when a better source appears, a listing moves, a spec conflict is found, or someone sends a correction. We keep the page language cautious when evidence is thin.

Prefer official pages, manuals, source-backed seller listings, and exact-model creator video evidence.
Keep public issue reports as summarized research notes, not verified defect rates.
Separate exact-model evidence from adjacent-model demos or broad brand mentions.
Update pages when source records improve, conflict, or become outdated.

Where the Data Is Used

The same records power the public index, comparison pages, best lists, reported issue pages, video pages, and guides. The wording may change by page, but the underlying records should stay consistent.

Help Improve the Records

Send missing specs, official links, seller listings, exact-model videos, or corrections when a page looks outdated. The useful detail is the source, not just the claim.
